Named Peter Brodbeck at birth, in Lezsno on November 23rd. Spends his childhood in Duisburg’s industrial surroundings (North Rhine-Westphalia).

Enrols in the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts, and shortly after travels to Arles on a 'spiritual pilgrimage'.

Moves to Düsseldorf and begins pursuing photography. Lindbergh assists Germany photographer Hans Lux, who encourages him to work independently.
